Sexual Harassment Plaintiff gets $11.6 Million (Continued)

In addition to the sexual harassment claims, the jurors found that MSG and Dolan fired Browne Sanders, 43, in retaliation for the complaints she made about the actions of Thomas and Knicks star Stephon Marbury. Among other things, Browne Sanders had complained to her bosses about Marbury having sex with an MSG intern.

But Thomas whose alleged use of the words "bitch" and "ho" and unwanted physical advances toward Browne Sanders got his employer in the messy sex harassment lawsuit, dodged a bullet when the jurors found that he didn't deserve punitive damages for her firing in January 2006. Jurors were split 6-1 on whether he should be assessed punitive-damages for sexual harassment.

"What I did here, I did for every working woman in America," a beaming Browne Sanders told reporters outside the federal courthouse.

Then Browne Sanders, her family and attorneys held hands in a circle and briefly prayed together.

Earlier, a defiant Thomas came outside and proclaimed he didn't do anything wrong.

"I am innocent, very innocent," Thomas said moments before getting into a black sports utility vehicle. "I never did the things she accused me in this courtroom of doing."

The judgment isn't final until various post-trial proceedings are completed,probably next month. Jurors contacted afterwards declined to comment.
